Default RE: Chip Hyde's Cap-X - Building & Flying

Made the first flight today. Should say half a flight. Deadstick. New engine, (DA 50), INEXPERIENCED gas user. Never got over half throttle, but this plane flys so good and is so stable. CG was slightly nose heavy, dual rates never made it to high. Earlier, I had slowed it down to check the stall and it just mushed forward with no sign of tip stall. The deadstick was very uneventful. I wish I could land that good every time. The only problem was some covering coming off. I failed to seal all the edges. Overall, I would give it 4 3/4 stars out of 5. It needs more than 5% up elevator in knifeedge though as it wants to go toward the wheels. Thanks Chip, you did good!!!!!!!!!!!! Dale
