They are still for sale at Probuild so they may have parts.

got a auto reply back stating thanks for the email, they might or might not respond since they get so many. I find that funny and not a very good way to handle business.

I hope they do respond!

The question is , did Chip Hyde produce two sizes of the CapX. I had one which this thread relates to.

I have recently tracked down another CapX but by judging by the size it's a 50cc . The instruction manual is missing and so is the packing box but everything is there and still packed in polythene covers. The wings are held on by a tube as well as the tail plane. The covering and colouring is the same as the smaller Cap but with the Breitling stickers applied.
Anyone shed any light on this and if anyone has the manual could it be copied and emailed
Thanks

My understanding is he only made the 1/4 scale size although someone had installed a 50cc on it just for grins. He did have a 50cc biplane and a 35% Extra from what I recall?

I have stripped all the covering off mine and made new elevator servo mounts, could not believe the amount of wood used in the stock mounts. The canopy had a crack and seemed extremely thin so I sent the canopy off to have a mold made so they could pull me a new canopy. The best part is now if anyone else needs one they will be able to just order it for there Cap X. It is still there awaiting it's turn at being made, it may be a month or so before it will be completed. If you have a mint cowl he will do the same with it also. I have a DA35 on a muffler going in my Cap X. I am doing the scheme shown except replacing the black with a bright blue Ultracote. https://planecrazystuff.com/product-category/canopies/
