WARNING-WARNING JR DATA
WARNING, WARNING....
I purchased my 10X when they first came out...96 97 or so.. I never have sent the transmitter in for any service until now... Went downstairs to help a friend setup the failsafe delay for his Jet Cat P-120 over the phone. Turned on my transmitter and got nothing, but beep, beep, beep, with a message on the Screen "Backup data Error"!! you don't want to ever see that screen / warning unless you've backed up all your aircraft programs... I never have taken the "Data Safe" unit out of the box! I did do some long hand written out backups for other aircraft in my 10X, but guess what no BobCat data backup... shoot I lost it all.
This is not going to be fun to reprogram, I had Crow out rudders, yep my rudders & nose wheel require three channels, in-flight gyro sensitivity settings, three flight modes, slide bar master & down elev braking, gear up mixing to deactivate brake valve movement with in-flight down elevator inputs, spoiler and flap reflex with mode changes, all modes with separate flight trims...to say nothing about all the custom servo throws and limits... shoot this is going to take at least a half a day redoing this program.....
My advise is if you have an older 10X backup your data NOW !!! My 9.6 volt trans battery is in great shape, but when the backup battery gets low the main battery doesn't help!! You will loose the data anyway! I just flew my BobCat and used this transmitter recently at the Tucson Jet Rally all was fine then. I guess when they say to replace the backup battery every five years they really mean it...

PS And now I understand clearly why they include the Data Safe system with the Radio, it's not just to give you something else to play with....Nope you really are going to need it !!! My negative comment to JR is why didn't you at least include a warning screen to let us know that the backup battery is getting low ? I guess that would be asking a little to much
