Its illegal for the end user to change TX crystals. If you think the TX needs a new crystal... ship it to JR's service center or to Radio South.
Is it illegal to change the TX crystal even if your keep the same freq? say Ch. 58 to Ch. 58? I thought it was only illegal to change the crystal to achieve a new freq. Say Ch. 58 to ch 56. I may be wrong but why else would they sell TX crystals to the public.
