Good points! The transmitter thing verses matchboxes makes sense. Ive got a JR662 and am considering a new radio. Was thinking of the 8103 just for the fact you could mix the elevators with the radio. Makes sense.

The 8103 is a very nice radio. If you can wait, and I have no idea when it will be here in the U.S is the 9x. However if you really want to do some hair pulling mixing then spring for a 10x. I've had mine about 18 months and love it. The transmitter will almost fly the plane without your thumbs. I switched from brand "F" and have never look back, OK maybe a peek

The 10x is an amazing piece of equipment. The nice thing for you is that you can just buy the transmitter and module, then continue to use the rest of your radio equipment. The only POS that JR supplies with the 10x is the charger. It does not put out enough juice and IMHO they should not even put it in the box.
