With a new plane. I keep everything simple till I know how it responds. I'd either set it up with all aileron or ailerons and regular flaps. Fly it a while that way and then do the extra programming for crow and such. Always try to have a panic switch when you are doing unusual stuff so you can get the plane back to a conventional configuration real easy if you were to get into trouble.
