well, i'm pretty new to this as well, but have bought all my components, and just about to put it all together. all i can tell you is there is a lot to learn i can't help you with the brushless setup as i went for brushed with the birdseed battery; however, the basic FP piccolo only uses 4 channels where as the CP uses 5. i also went with the slim 105He ESC which is highly recommended for the tail ESC becuase of its high frequency which will prolong the life of your tail motor, which seems to be a big issue with these helis. you may also want to look into the Trek ESC which is favored by piccolo fans. for more info on these birds check out http://www.ikarus-modellbau.de/ubbth...p?action=intro hope that helps some...
