Yup, unfortunately, this particular kit does build tail heavy. Having a personal dislike for having to add "dead" weight to planes, after I read about the tail-heavy nature of the plane, I just decided to use a larger (heavier) engine up front. I put my trusty ST 3250 on mine! Given the bigger engine, I also doubled the firewall. With this set-up, I was still able to put my elevator servos in the tail, though my rudder servo (set up for Pull-Pull) is mounted under the wing. With my battery pack up by the firewall, the CG fell right into the recommended range, and it flies great!
