I learned that fuel tubing trick back in my Helo days. I always use a pair of needle nose pliers to stretch the piece of fuel tubing over your line, but sometimes you may have to hold the small piece to keep it from sliding off the pliers while being stretched. All my tubing connections get that nowwa days.
