Default RE: Question for the moderators?

Lee,
This is how I did mine. I let the paint cure for a day the I scuffed the area with a scotch brite(the transfers and rivets would not stick if the painted area had a sheen to it), I cut out the transfer and taped it into place( be careful when taping not to tape over a transfer that is aready applied it will pull off). I burnished it with the burnishing tool I purchased from ProMark last year, I then used a heat gun to warm the area and burnished it again. I then pulled off the transfer backing. Heating the area and burnishing it again really helped on the transfers that had small writing. After the transfers, rivets and weathering was finished, I clear coated it with a flattening agent added to the clear coat.
David,
I dont know what scale the F18 is but the transfers I used were for the Aeroloft Avonds F15. The Skymaster F15, Yellow F15 and Avonds F15 are all about the same size. I used the small dark rivets from ProMark on mine.
James,
I will check out that site I need reference books for my F18 now. Get you Skymaster F15 done so we can fly together at the next jet meet.

Picture of burnishing tool rom ProMark, The rounded end worked well for rivets on contured areas.
