When I was 14, I had one of those airboat things with an OS15 in it. A mate and I were running in the motor on the bench, I was sitting in front of the prop holding on to the tiny fuel tank beind the engine with my left hand, as my mate went to squirt more fuel into the tank from a large syringe, some spilt on my fingers. I already had some small cuts from starting the motor so the spilt fuel stung, so I pulled my hand away, straight through the prop. Holding my left hand against my chest in even more pain, I reached over with my right hand to plug the exhaust to shut it down and burnt my right hand on the exhaust. Result = 5 stitches to my left middle finger and a sizeable burn to my right hand. I employed a chicken stick from that day on. Now getting back into glow 16 yrs later, Ive invested in an electric starter.
