Default Klotz vs Other Oils

It appears that the only commercially available oil that will mix with Methanol is Klotz. Their beanoil is excellent. We run Moki 2.1 and 1.8 engines with the following mixture. One gallon of 10% nitro (commercially available fuel) is mixed with one gallon of straight methanol. The result is 5% nitro and half the oil mixture. Most commercially mixed fuels have about 18% oil, so this results in a 9% mix. Our Moki engines love it. Another alternative is to mix Methanol with Klotz with no nitro. At $8 per quart for Klotz, when you mix with Methanol, the cost per gallon is pretty cheap.
