Greetings fellow Hobby enthusiasts,
I am in search of a MT to buy, build, and run with my son, we've already jumped head first into the Heli industry together
with an amazing amount of building, learning and flying hours. You cannot really put a cap on the amount of things to do
with choppers, but I would like to broaden our horizons. What better way than to shake things up a little and go from air to land.
I was thinking of going with a car, but I have to look at it from 2 different perspectives. One from a 22 year old dad(kid), and a 5 year old(kid)[8D]
I think we would both benefit from an MT
My son has become quite the little technician, starting in the hobby when he was only 2. Now he maintains our best heli and is learning to hover with training gear (of course I'm hooked up on a separate TX with a buddy line, just incase we have any technical difficulties.
Anyway... I apologize for the long dragged out introduction but it seems necessary for our new task at hand.
* Finding the best MT available.
I don't know whats best, whats worst, or whats worth spending the money on, or whats not?
I wanted to go with an MT Kit just so we would gain the experience on the building, maintaining, and upgrading aspects of the hobby.
But then again, the RTR options out there are vast, and must be for a reason, simply stating RTR is cheaper, getting more for your buck and guaranteed to be built correctly.
Also the RTR kits come with a TX(Radio) but I also heard some of the TXs sold outside of a RTR kit have many more options for the money.
I.E.> The Airtronics M8 3-Channel FM Light Novak.
I've read alot of the posts here and have seen many discussions on the Savage, Mammoth, Tmaxx, Mad Force, and the LST.
Mad Force being more of the pricey kits available.
These are the trucks we are currently looking at to purchase.
We are trying to get up and running in time for our vacation time in July,
so any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
