Lynn haven, is right next door to Panama City.

I'm military retired & have lived, from, Florida to Washington State, California to New Hampshire & more than a "few" in between. Each area is different, in many ways, especially, culturally. I've learned to be respect & accept the "ways", without criticism. Different means "different", nothing more, nothing less.

I think you can relate, somewhat, to that sentiment.

I will continue to visit the airfield on low traffic days, as a spectator, & see what happens. My experience, so, far, has been very positive.
