Those upgrades can be a real sneaky about emptying your wallet! I've sunk a bunch of money into my old Xcell ST recently too. A guy I know used to go shopping and come home empty handed all the time. When you ask hime if he bought anything, he'd say that he didn't see anything that he liked better than money. I think I'm starting to like carbon fiber better than money.
