Default RE: PPG 2042 Clear

David,
Ron actually turned me on to the 2042 material and it sprays great! It handles just like the 2021, only quicker cure time ect...

If you are in a real big hurry, you may want to look into 3000 series clearcoat. From what I understand, this is the newest material to hit the shelf. The kicker is as follows:
2nd coat - within five minutes
Dust free - Within ten to fifteen minutes
You can wet sand and buff within one and a half hours!

You don't need any extra heat and the clear coat is high viscosity, almost like water already.

I sprayed some tonight and was amazed at how smooth it layed out and how quickly it dried.
One coat gives you somewhere around 2mils.
May be worth checking into. Ron probaly has more info since he is around these materials all of the time.
Good Luck,
