Default RE: AMA fun fly rules question

Hi invme

If I am not mistaken, The Corvin Miller Memorial is a Scale Masters qualifier. I assume that you are planning to fly the Funtana as a Katana. The only limitation that I know of for Fun Scale is weight, and I assume your plane will come in under 55 pounds. I am not an expert in scale, however, some in your club must be, if they is putting on this event. I would talk to them, or perhaps the CD in particular. Although there are scale rules in the AMA Competition Regulations, I think you might be better served to become familiar with the rules of the USSMA. Their site is here and the rules are a part of the site (USSMA downloads): http://www.scalemasters.org/

The AMA rules are on a three year cycle and this SIG (Special Interest Group) may have made changes to the rules.
