From: gone,
Fun Fly rules vary from event to event... they are class C competitions. (no AMA rulebook defined tasks or aircraft specifications)
You can have a Fun Fly that specifies all .40 size ARF trainers if you want. You can have one that says nothing over 22 inch wingspan... or one that says nothing uner 90 inch span.... Its up to the organizers of the event. The event can limit engine size (or not) It can have just about any wierd rule you can think of...
So... You need to talk to the event CD.

BTW... the only references I find to a "Corvin Miller" event.... are the Scale Masters qualifier. Thats definitely not a Fun Fly.... (Well any flying is fun

Hi invme
If I am not mistaken, The Corvin Miller Memorial is a Scale Masters qualifier. I assume that you are planning to fly the Funtana as a Katana. The only limitation that I know of for Fun Scale is weight, and I assume your plane will come in under 55 pounds. I am not an expert in scale, however, some in your club must be, if they is putting on this event. I would talk to them, or perhaps the CD in particular. Although there are scale rules in the AMA Competition Regulations, I think you might be better served to become familiar with the rules of the USSMA. Their site is here and the rules are a part of the site (USSMA downloads): http://www.scalemasters.org/
The AMA rules are on a three year cycle and this SIG (Special Interest Group) may have made changes to the rules.
