I am working on a Phoenix Giles for a guy at our field who has crashed it twice and now want's me to figure it out. It seems on take off that the plane doesn't want to come off the ground and when it does it goes vertical and he get's nervous and chops the throttle and piles into the bushes at the end of the runway. I wasn't a witness to these 2 flights but the guy isn't a bad pilot. I haven't had a chance to really get into it yet but all the incidence look ok and the CG is at about 4" with at 61 magnum 4 stroke on it. Any ideas before I start chopping on this thing. I haven't checked what kind of throw he had in it yet either. Just doing some preliminary investegation with you guys that are flying them.
