RE: Paint question

Take a look over in the jet forum for some paint questions, 90% say the exact opposite of what was just said here. When they talk about clear coating an airplane you will hear most of them say they reduce it from 100 - 200% so it gives a nice wet and even coat without putting alot of clear on the plane. I just cleared the fuse an canopy of one of my jets this past weekend and I reduced my clear by 150% and the finish came out beautiful without any runs. Also, as the gentlemen here says it depends on who's clear you are using. I use sikkens (lesonol) clear and which is a 2 part clear. Most others use PPG clear which is also a 2 part reducer. Whatever you do, don't use lacquer thinner. The reducer I use is only 5.00 a pint and that is more than enough to clear an entire plane.
