rcfury, I manufacture custom furniture and in laminate counter tops its glued down with contact cement. I thin it and it seals the wood, but results in a tacky finish and really sticks. I believe it can be purchased at home remodeling centers in as little as quart containers. You can get the same results with a thin coat of epoxy or some polyeurothane. Makes all the difference. Some times due to space restraints I mount the battery where it will be hanging upside down as opposed to sitting on the floor of the fuse and even on severe impact the battery always stayed where it was placed.
