Depending on what you mean by cheap, I find that the FMA M5A is an outstandingly good receiver. You can put it in a 1/4 scale and fly it out of sight yet it is very small and can be used in the typical park flyer. Range and sensitivity is excellent and is capable of 5 channel operation if you require that 5th channel. Check it out at fmadirect.com.
