RE: Elevator mixing setup question.
Southern Touch,
Sounds like you have got it going.
As mentioned in this thread there are 2 options, just wanted to be sure you caught that.
Flaperons- Elevators go up,,, ailerons go down. And Vice Versa... Excellent for waterfalls and tightening up loops. Plus I use mine sometimes if there is no wind when landing.
SPOILERONS!! WOHOO!- Elevators go up and the ailerons go up too!! Excellent for some stunning elevators, When you pull full up elevator the ailerons come up and reduces the wing lift and the plane will fall almost straight down in a harrier attitude. GREAT 3D tool!!! I play with the amount of aileron throw I get in proportion to how my elevator I pull when Im setting up the mix. Once you get it right you can almost totally eliminate wing rock in a elevator. WARNING- Be very careful with this function as you probably know it kills the wings lift. I have mine on the spring "snap/trainer" switch NOT on a 2 position switch. I just hold the switch with my left index finger while Im doing an elevator and let go as I fly out. If you put it on a 2 position and inadvertantly have it on at takeoff or leave it on after a manuever accidentally you will probably crash, trust me I found out the hard way.
