RE: ULTIMATE bipe question
You can't go wrong with a CG Ultimate as a second plane. As was stated in a previous reply, this plane performs great with engines ranging in size from .61 2-strokes up to YS 1.40 4-strokes. I've personally helped two different people step up to this plane from trainers--one with a .61 and the other with a .91 two-stroke engine. Ultimates have no bad tendencies at all, and perform great in all flight modes. With a smaller engine and low throws, the plane will land and fly like a trainer, but you will have the ability to increase throws and upgrade to a larger engine to have a truly unlimited machine. Once you get used to the responsiveness, and the increased drag of a biplane, you will not have any problems at all. The CG Ultimate (and all others for that matter) are far easier to fly than any trainer in my opinion once you have mastered the basics.
