One word of warning about buying from Dave Patrick. There are quite a few of us that love his produts but hate is customer service. I have his 120 Ulty, and I LOVE it, but I waited a really long time for them to ship it to me. It was in stock but they just seemed to busy to bother shipping it.
Hopefully you'll be one of the ones that gets good service, but prepare yourself for a bit of a wait, just in case. . . .

You can click on my gallery to see two Ultimates one arf and one arc...
Met DP at Joe Nall...extremely nice guy and I think his customer service is turning around from what is said here at RCU. Personally I've called and talked to him on the first ring and had my arc shipped out immediately.
No complaints here!

I try to do my best but there is a guy in our club who can really wring it out. Rolling circles (which I can't do) and a whole host of other stuff. My skills have really gotten better on this plane because it is very easy to fly and land and can do anything in the book. Check out Bulldogairshows.com which is where I got the cover scheme.

Yup,
Thats it! Are you sure you weren't field shopping? Lots of folks live out that way and commute in. It would be bad to live out close to the field. I just camped out with the kids before our last fly-in a couple of weeks ago.
Looks like your DP underwent a serious knife. My cousin's DP has been a nightmare. I cannot get that thing to fly right no matter what I do. It like its cursed. Its got Murphy's law all over it. It crashed into the tall grass on its first take off. Either the motor doesn't want to work or the covering is flying off. Its just one thing after another. I want to sell it as cursed and get another one.
Mine has been great since day one!

Tomorrow? We thought you ordered already! Are you getting the 40 or the 120? You'll love it, I was really impressed by the little things that are done in the kit. The canopy was mounted, The cabanes were in and painted; on the cowl screws there are pieces of tubing to protect the cowl. oh and the cowl was mounted already too! The fit and finish was excellent. The pull-pull on rudder AND elevators is just something you don't find on too many arfs if any.
One complaint. The gear is a little soft but I've never put them up into the bottom wing like I've read on some threads. That doesn't happen with any kind of normal landing. Anyone that says it does isn't neing honest about how the really landed.
I built the Goldberg Ultimate first and I thought it was great. In fact I wanted one for so long, I turned down a DP for the Goldberg. After a season with the Goldberg I finally got cocky and lost it. Then I got the DP and realized its a few steps up in class from the Goldberg arf.
And in my opinion from what I saw at Joe Nall the Fit and finish was a bit better on Dp's than the Aeroworks also. I hear the Aerowrks flies great but to me the cabanes looked a bit clunky and the wing struts stuck out too far on the leading edge. Its small stuff like that, that adds up to my overall appreciation for a plane.
DP is a class act as far as I'm concerned when it comes to putting out a nice arf.

I going with the 40 size arf. with my OS 46fx
It does have dual airleron servos right. Im guessing i will need 5 total servos.
What did ya'll find that wasn't included that ya'll had to by. (Ex) servo extensions, and y-harness

I wouldn't count on any hovering with that motor. From what I hear the YS 63 four stroke is THE motor for that plane. I guess the OS 46 will be respectable but I can't comment. I think you will be happy with that combo. I'm really not sure about the wing servos either. My guess would be two slaved to the upper surfaces. You could always modify and do 4 micros.
Do a search on RCU I know there is stuff out there about it.

Ok, well i'll have 7 futaba 3004 servos from my ultrastick and thats what i'll use.
krayzc-RCU on the pictures you have, What is the "hole" or opening on the side of the fuselage between the wings, on the left side. I can't really tell what im looking at.
