Default RE: hinges on speed planes

For the guys and gals exceeding the 200 mph:

Stay away from all kinds of plastic hinges! So far I had best results using heavy duty full metal hinges such as

Ruderscharnier KDH 322 made by KDH-Modellbau, Postfach 2008, 32443 Porta Westfalica, GERMANY

These should NOT be glued with CA but exclusively with 2-components epoxy. A superiour feature are the incorporated barbs supporting safety. Another advantage is the overall height of only 1.5 mm well suited for our thin control surface speed airfoils.

With regards to heavy duty control horns, I make my own custom horns composed of 2.0 to 2.5 mm thick multilayer printed circuit board.
