From what I can tell...nothing. The 40s has 574 sq in of wing area, and the 40 has 565 sq in. Other than that, the specs are the same. The wings do look to be semmetrical. I think I like the canopy on the 40, but would go for the larger wing of the 40s. Either way, I bet they both fly well.
