Default RE: 31 cc ryobi on a ultra stick

Hi,

Ken was a little sparse on the details when we asked him, but I got the impression that he pretty much just bolted the Homelite 25cc on, added a strip of lead weights to the tail, and went flying! He said it flew great, and "was a perfect match". I'm hoping with my installation without the magneto that I will balance ok with no weight nor modifications. tkg is right though; I would temporarily hang the engine on front, and see how it balances. It may come out ok, or it may come out a bit nose heavy in which case you might want to think about mounting the servos in the rear, or if it is real nose heavy, you may want to move the firewall back. The Ryobi is narrower than the Homelite, but longer which would move the balance point forward. All you can do is mock it up and check it out.

Good luck,
