Thanks greenboot, the decals were done by Cutting Edge Graphics at http://www.rcdecals.com and the checkers were painted on by myself. When I decided to use this scheme I thought it would be somewhat a unique bird. That was until I got halfway into covering it that Great Planes announced they were releasing a 1/4 scale Extra with the same scheme. I have had a few guys ask me how I ended up with it so soon and I have to tell them it isn't the 1/4 scale and I did the covering job myself. I mean it's a nice size airplane but it isn't no 1/4 scale.

I consider mine heavy because the plans called for a final weight between 7.5 and 8.0 lbs. The only differences I see on mine that would increase the weight is I have 6 servos, an 1100mah Nicad and a fiberglass cowl with some heavy paint. Even at this weight it is one really nice flying airplane...
