David, I love the graphics!
Mine will maintain a hover with the 91fs, but it won't pull up. I didn't enlarge the tail as I'm not really into 3D stuff. Being completely "stock", it flies conventional aerobatics very nicely. Mine weighs 7lb 13oz.
I'm also using a 14x6. If you have better luck with the 15", let me know.
And I don't care what anybody else thinks. The Great Planes kit looks WAY better than the Goldberg.

Here is a list of most of the major components of my plane. The total plane weighs 7 lb 13 oz so obviously this list isn't complete. I weighed everything before covering so the monocote isn't included.
I don't consider this plane heavy. It is built according to plans with the materials supplied. I do try to keep it light, but I mostly follow the plans.
Engine, OS91fs 22.2 oz
Completed Wing (wood & glue) 16.0
Completed Fuselage (wood & glue) 22.0
Alum LG & wheels 10.0
5 Servos & receiver 10.0
Plastic cowling 5.5
Engine mount & bolts 5.0
APC Prop & spinner 5.0
Battery (NiMh) 3.5
Control surfaces (ailerons, elev, rudder) 3.5
Fuel tank (12 oz) 3.0
Control rods (metal) 2.5
Canopy 2.5
Misc hardware 1.0
Muffler 1.0
Tailwheel assy .5

Thanks greenboot, the decals were done by Cutting Edge Graphics at http://www.rcdecals.com and the checkers were painted on by myself. When I decided to use this scheme I thought it would be somewhat a unique bird. That was until I got halfway into covering it that Great Planes announced they were releasing a 1/4 scale Extra with the same scheme. I have had a few guys ask me how I ended up with it so soon and I have to tell them it isn't the 1/4 scale and I did the covering job myself. I mean it's a nice size airplane but it isn't no 1/4 scale.
I consider mine heavy because the plans called for a final weight between 7.5 and 8.0 lbs. The only differences I see on mine that would increase the weight is I have 6 servos, an 1100mah Nicad and a fiberglass cowl with some heavy paint. Even at this weight it is one really nice flying airplane...
