Do you have to tell your insurance agent that you fly models to get the coverage? Will telling them cause your premiums to go up?
Don't tell your insurance agent anything he doesn't ask for! There's not even any reason to look at your policy. Here's how I look at it: Either you have coverage under your own liability policies or you don't. If you have the misfortune to cause a serious accident, then if you have your own coverage your insurance company and the AMA will fight it out. If you don't have your own coverage, the AMA becomes primary. Of course, if you follow this strategy, you better be sure your AMA membership is paid up!
