RE: Worried about cooling system on my boat
Just keep it the way it is and do some test runs. Do you have a water over-flow hole in the side of your boat? Then, while the boat is going you can see if water is flowing through. If you don't just take the boat for a short pass with the hose sticking out around the height where it will be at the engine. And see if water is flowing out of it. But just try it first, I think it will work because on my boat water has to flow up a 6 inch rudder then go to the motor. If it doesn't work back to the drawing board.
You could also get a transom mounted water pick up that will definitely get water.
