WHat I mean by lacking technology from the 21st century is the not so popular serial port connections that they require to run the program. It seems to me that USB is not only more popular but much more stable and universally more adaptable. I found the set up and install of AFP more diificult than it should be and I am what you would call a " Computer Nerd" And my computer that runs this program is pretty powerful lees than a year old and pretty much the top of the line (8 monthes ago).
I guess that I should check on what connections I have before I journey into getting AFP........if you don't have the right stuff, then you can't run it.......(that is on my mom's computer - I load it on my dad's computer and then on my mom's so I can fly wherever!!)......But, I know that I have that serial port thing on my dads, but I'm sure that my mom has it too....she has a 2001 computer....(I'm sure that you computer is top of the line if it's only 8 months old.....I mean 8 months YOUNG!!
