RE: Sport plane as a 2nd??
Due to the LE and TE taper, as well as airfoil taper, the Sukhoi and Extra have a tendency to stall out at the wingtip (one wings stops providing sufficient lift) which results in a "snap" in one direction or the other when the plane enters a high angle of attack (excessive elevator input relative to the airspeed usually causes this). This is also what makes them so effective at snap rolls and other fast manuevers.
The short answer is that it is usually considered too much to learn for someone just off a trainer (but not impossible for some really talented indivduals).
BTW, I suggest a Sig 4 Star 40 or 60, Goldberg Tiger, or Great Planes Super Sport for an excellent 2nd plane.
