That could be taken care of with a one way fitting so the pump never gets empty. The Barb fittings are standard 1/8" NPT but the barbs are a bit large. New fittings should be easy to get. It sounds like a very fast woodpecker but not bad. Ill post a review as soon as I can. I payed $29 at an Advantage Auto Parts store and they sell online. At this place they can be gotten for $20.50
