rongreg13, look familiar? My firewall along with my ZDZ 50 broke loose on a deadstick when I was dialing in the ZDZ. I started out with a Moki 2.10 but that engine was touchey, it would run great one day and like crap the next. I like the ZDZ 50 a lot better. I too have had problems with the fuse coming unglued at the sides where the landing gear block meet the fuse sides and my fire wall broke loose on a dead stick.

I reinforced the corners of the engine box with hardwood and fiberglass. The only part I didn't reinforce was the actual firewall because it is notched into the sides of the engine box, I thought it was pretty sturdy but I was wrong it also has been reinforced now. Two dead sticks and two sets of carbon fiber gear broken so I went back to the stock gear no problems.

I agree it doesn't knife edge very well. Mine has four 625MG servos on the ailerons and all gaps sealed top and bottom with ultracote. No signs of flutter at all. I could probably get away with only two aileron servos but I am not brave enough to try. Mine came in at 15 pounds without the Sullivan Smoke System that it now has. I have been flying this plane since October 2003 and has over 100 flights I would say. Overall I like it a lot.
