DEFINITELY, pull out the plastic cup like thing (called a carburetor restrictor) that is inside the carb. neck/hole (its white hard to miss) and you will see a SERIOUS gain in power from the AE .15. Also, I would suggest a new steering servo, such as the Hitec HS645mg from towerhobbies or wherever. I have it and a hs635,g (throttle servo) and it makes a HUGE difference.

And if you want to run faster on a track, getting the right tire for your track (the stock proline bowties will work great on blue groove like tracks) and practice, practice, and more practice, will make you faster.

Also, if you gear up or buy some Proline Masher 2000 ST tires you will gain more top-end but have less bottom-end punch. And if you decide to run gears with more teeth then the general rule is you add one tooth on the clutch bell and then get a spur gear with 2-less teeth. At first it doesnt make sense to get a spur with less teeth for a better top-speed but if you dont change the gearing you will "overgear" the engine. Which in turn will make it run hot which is not good.
