Get some 1/2 schedule 40 PVC pipe, elbows, tees and get creative. PVC is dirt cheap, and very easy to work with (remember tinker toys?) I spent two hours drawing up plans to make a crate for my Avistar, which I never got around to building. When I did build a cradle for the SS 40, I eyeballed it together in about 1/2 hour. Granted, I have a chop saw which makes cutting the pipe a breeze, but the longest time was figuring out how tall it could be and still fit in the trunk of my car.....
