A good car alarm would do the trick. You can easily hook up a relay to the alarm to flash the clearance lights and/ or turn on an outside set of loading lights to see that it is your trailer that's been tampered with. There are lots of options, be creative. Maybe some motion lights if you keep it close to a power source where it's stored, let a pit bull use it as a dog house when not in use, a camera system is a good way to put them behind bars instead of just running them off to rip someone else off.
