Default RE: Aeroworks 33% Ultimate

My experience is THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE RIB ITSELF. It is the instructions. The brace that connects the top front of the cabane with the botton rear is labled with letters and numbers and says you should easily be able to figure it out. The top part of the cabane that attaches below the top wing is specificly shaped to fit under the wing (it is smaller at this end) and the instructions do not tell you this at all-- this means there is a specific left and a specific right side and if the two are backwards the wing will not come together. There is a 50/50 chance you would not even notice this. Since my anti-rotation dowels were broken when I got the plane and Rocco suggested I glue them back in place--it was assumed that they were not glued correctly and they were binding as they were going into the aluminum rib --- that is when Rocco suggested that I enlarge the hole that the anti rotation dowls go through and he assured me that he had never come accross this before--After enlarging the holes and finding that this was not the problem I got to looking elsewhere and that is when I discovered that the wing was not coming together because of the cabane. After I explained to Rocco what I found to be the problem, that is when he offered to sell me a new rib at full retail price of $15.95 plus $7.50 S&H. My suggestion is join the wings with the rib in place and not attached to the plane--then figure out the cabanes. PS--I ended up permantly joining my top wing with epoxy to remove any slop and loose play--didn't cost anything and I think it is much stronger this way. Of course I have the smaller one. Also--ALLOW ME TO SAY THIS FOR THE THIRD TIME so I don't come across as bashing-----This is one super flying plane when you get it finished.
