RE: SMALLER ARF PLANES
If cost is an issue, you might look over the Lanier early ARF's. They have plastic formed fuselages, and skinned foam wings, no hardware. I had a TR260 with a .46, and a freind overpowered a Dart with a .60 - a .40 would have flown it. They offer several others.
Another ModelTech item is the Extra 300, which calls for a .30.
I have a World Models Ultimate 30, which would probably fly fine on a .40 (I have a .52 4stroke on it.) It's a nice flying plane.
