HI, I WANT TO BUILD AN ARF PLANE. I WANT THE POWER TO BE IN THE 25-40 ENGINE RANGE AND I WOULD PREFER A LOW WING. PLEASE SOME SUGGESTIONS. THANKS, GARY.

I have been very happy with my Thunder Tiger Tiger Bipe 40 ... it's designed for a .35, so a .40 is almost over powered (but fun.) :-) Because it's a bipe and each wing smaller, it can fit in the trunk of my Jetta fully assembled. It flies great ... and after looking at a biplane for a while, monoplanes just look like they are lacking something ... can't quite put my finger on it, but they just don't quite look right. :-)

If cost is an issue, you might look over the Lanier early ARF's. They have plastic formed fuselages, and skinned foam wings, no hardware. I had a TR260 with a .46, and a freind overpowered a Dart with a .60 - a .40 would have flown it. They offer several others.

Another ModelTech item is the Extra 300, which calls for a .30.

I have a World Models Ultimate 30, which would probably fly fine on a .40 (I have a .52 4stroke on it.) It's a nice flying plane.

That's a pretty open-ended question. There are tons of planes out there. Give us some clues to help narrow the field. What planes have you flown? What type of flying do you plan to do? etc....

I think sig has just released a "little extra" ARF, which would be in this size range.
