Default RE: Stephen Bess Break-In Method

is it time to break out the old engineer/programmer/hillbilly/lawyer/technician/electrician jokes? oh i hope not. things could get really heated and it could happen even faster.

on topic: ive been breaking my motors (aka engines for you engineers out there) in for quite some time using this "bess" method and have noticed much more power and run time since doing so. a front seal going bad before anything else? seems rare to me. other than that the ol' nova rossi P5 is still going strong with well over 7 gallons (closer to 8) on it. two times it didnt take first place in the 'A' main so, yes, its tuned for performance. and it has also had several trips up past the 300F mark with no hiccups yet. dont knock the proceedure before you try it. i was affraid to try it at first but now im glad i did.
