First it takes a plane with enough power to hold the airplane in the air. That is the begining. Then you need flight controls big enough to force the airplane to go where you want it to go. Then it takes lots of fuel and then more fuel.

I suppose there are a few people that use gyros but I do not know of anybody that does. With lots of practice I can now hover right in front of me. So really just practice practice practice.
