First, you need a good plane/engine setup. There are several. I prefer Paul Swanson's Burrito for the plane. But Morris Hobbies, OMP, and Extreme Flight make some just as good or better (depending on who you talk to) as the Burrito. The Burrito will hover at half throttle with a good ball bearing .46 like an FX 46. I have a GMS .47 on mine and it will easily carry it straight up and out of site. Also it has the surfaces to move the tail of the plane where you want it to keep it verticle. Second, as everyone is going to tell you, you have to practice!!! Start up high and the better you get the lower you will want it to the ground. Trust me on this!!! Good luck!
