No, you have to disconect the fuel line from the nipple on the the carb, and then stick the fuel probe into the end of the fuel line you are now holding in your hand (Going to the fuel tank)..then start filling the fuel tank with the pump until fuel runs out the vent line you have connected to the muffler.....or into the little fuel bottle...
You said that you were going to be using a electric fuel pump, the reason suggested that you use the little bottle to have the fuel to run into when it was full is that with a electric pump you would be supprised how far the fuel will squirt out of the vent line (may be on someone or another plane beside you) because of the pressure of the pump...That's a no no...
