IF the carb cowled in to where you can't get to it to take the fuel line off off the carb???
If it's cowled in and you can't get to the carb to remove the fuel line then you have to cut the fuel line between the carb and the tank, insert a "T" fitting in the line put a long enough peice of fuel line on the third nipple and route it outside to where you can get at it and install a plug in the end of this line...the line should be pinched between the carb and the "T" fitting to possibily prevent flooding of the engine while filling the tank...
If can get to the fuel line just simpley remove the the fuel line from the carb and insert the fuel probe into the end of the line..remove the fuel line from the muffler insert this line into a small bottle that has a fuel proof peice of plastic tube that the fuel hose will fit over and will drain into the bottle if the tank overfills (Most of the time it will) make sure that the overflow bottle has a vent in the top also...(saves a lot of fuel from a days flying and you just poure it back into the fuel jug..) fill tank, rehook everything back up the way it's supposed to be and have a nice time punching holes in the sky..
Hope this helps....

You said that you were going to be using a electric fuel pump, the reason suggested that you use the little bottle to have the fuel to run into when it was full is that with a electric pump you would be supprised how far the fuel will squirt out of the vent line (may be on someone or another plane beside you) because of the pressure of the pump...That's a no no...
Understand now?
