As I stated a few posts back... the covering is NOT Ultra/Monokote... It's another brand.
I can't speak for the Challenger, but the Edge I have here looks beautiful... no transparency (except for the stars white on dark colors, which I too am removing).
You get the normal lighter areas where light passes thru the lightening cutouts in the fuse sides.
Other than that the covering appears to be strong and sticks to itself VERY well. Removing the stars left some glue residue that was easily removed with Monokote trim solvent.
However, if Mono/Ultra cote is a prerequisite... this plane is not for you.

Does anyone know FOR SURE what type of covering they use on the EDGE? Hopefully (like WH) they use Ultracoat/Oracover, or at least Monocote. I learned my lesson years ago with cheap, thin, low-cost budget films...
