I know a few people that use the hand held starters and they never have any trouble getting their engines started. Also if you have a pullstart fitted it doesnt matter, as all pullstarts have a oneway bearing in that stops the driveshaft from pulling the P/S. The only thin that does happen is that if the engines are still rich then when they hydrolock the wheel flys across the underside.
