I got to fly my Twist again today in some fair wind 10-12 mph according to my meter. Did very well, I flew my brushless Formosa first and oh man was that a handfull in turbulent wind! Fun though and good practice.

Anyway, On my second flight I noticed my wing vibrating... a different sound than before so I found I could rock it a little while mounted... the dang nylon bolt stripped and when I took it out it was BARELY flattened around where it meets and tightens on the blind nut. So I guess I got the weird barely offsize blind nut that everyone else has.

I flew it anyway as it still felt pretty tight and then on the third flight one of the damn landing gear bolts fell out so the whole gear rotated 90 degrees! I knew something was wrong as flight was off and it reacted weird. So on a slow flyby I saw the landing gear hanging all weird. So I landed really slow into this wind... hit the prop and killed the engine but no damage... dang, two new things to fix.

Still fun though and I got to wow some old guy that came riding up to our field on a bicycle!
